Integrations
Connect Polar, Suunto, Oura, and WHOOP to Runtool — automatic activity sync and recovery metrics.
Runtool connects to device brands in two roles: activity providers sync your runs, and health providers contribute recovery metrics — HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep — read on the Overview. Connect them under Settings → Integrations; every connection is an authorization with your own provider account, revocable any time.
Because a connection is yours rather than a workspace's, a coach can't connect a watch on an athlete's behalf — the athlete connects their own. What a coach can do is bring an athlete's history in by hand from that athlete's Import page.
Polar
Activity provider. Once connected, new Polar activities sync to Runtool automatically.
One Polar particular: its data model only delivers activities recorded after you connect — historical backfill isn't available through the integration. For your Polar history, use a Polar data export with the file upload.
Suunto
Activity provider. New Suunto activities sync automatically, and Runtool can also fetch your existing Suunto history by date range — connect and backfill from one place.
Oura
Health provider. Oura contributes sleep, HRV, and resting heart rate as rolling values, read on the athlete's Overview. Oura does not sync workouts — pair it with an activity provider or file uploads for your runs.
WHOOP
Health provider. Like Oura, WHOOP feeds recovery metrics — HRV, resting heart rate, sleep — into the profile, and does not sync workouts.
Health data sharing
Health metrics are consent-gated separately from the connection itself: you decide per provider whether its health data is shared into the workspace, and you can turn it off without disconnecting.
